September 10, 2022 - (San Diego, CA) - Beyond The Palm LLC, a surf lifestyle inspired online boutique offering paintings and photography prints that are customizable for the home and special events, announced today they have launched their online store. The company was created by Kristi McKnight, a professionally trained artist of the Quiksilver family, and Missy Gibson, a Roxy top model and surfer from the 90’s. 

“One of the most beautiful things in life is having the ability to capture a feeling, a moment in time, and connect with it. My father made surfwear that was accessible to everyone and my passion is capturing a cherished moment in a painting and making it accessible to everyone. I don’t think you should have to pay thousands of dollars for art, everyone should have access to art,” said Kristi Mcknight, Cofounder and Chief Creative Director of Beyond The Palm. “We’re offering something very special to our customers with Beyond The Palm, we’re not just selling prints of my original artwork, we’re giving our customers an opportunity to personalize it, make it their own, and connect with it.”

Kristi McKnight's father is Bob Mcknight, Cofounder and Executive Chairman of Quiksilver Inc. and a Pioneer of the West Coast Surf and Skate Market. Kristi holds a Bachelors in Fine Arts from Otis College of Art & Design and previously worked as the Director of Marketing & PR rep for the surfwear giant where she managed high profile partners and influencers.
